Steve Feinberg
Founder & Creator
steve@speedballfitness.com

Steve believes that a marriage of integrated functional exercise and enthusiasm defines his exercise existence. As an overweight adolescent, the first fitness program he ever designed was his own. He began his passion for fitness through his discovery of martial arts. In addition to teaching cardio fitness classes, Steve was the program director and Kung Fu instructor in four of the five schools' locations on Long Island New York. Pupils of ages ranging from three through late adulthood enjoyed the benefit of Steve's expert instruction.

Next, he began training personal clients at the most elite health clubs in Manhattan, starting with the Reebok Sports Club/NY and The Sports Club/LA, while growing his group fitness career. Afterwards, Steve found a home at Equinox Fitness Clubs in New York City, teaching classes at every location while building a home-based private training business.

Currently, Steve continues to instruct group exercise classes at Equinox Fitness Clubs and The Sports Club/LA throughout New York City, as well as certify instructors in his exercise methods. His innovation and exuberance for fitness has resulted in the creation of his original programming concepts – Speedball, Speedball Core, Shadow Do, X-Treme Movement, Form & Function, FUnk FUze and Integration – exercise programs available in both group and personal settings, serving all fitness levels and age groups. While teaching at Equinox, he met Michelle Ho, and together they have incorporated their expertise and passions to form Speedball Fitness, LLC, under which the two have developed, branded, and cultivated his class concepts.

While he was teaching his Speedball Fitness exercise programs at the West Side YMCA, he consulted on and led fitness fundraising events that raised over $10,000 for the YMCA children's fund. Similarly at Equinox, Steve led fundraising efforts that generated over $3,800, which he donated to the American Red Cross for the victims of hurricane Katrina in 2005. At the YMCA, he also served as a role model in the child mentoring program, providing fitness and nutritional guidelines.

Additionally, Steve has coached top-ranked professional fighters in preparation for televised fights, and has served as strength and conditioning coach for adolescent female soccer teams.

Steve is certified by the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA). He studied at the State University of New York at Albany.

Steve and his programs have been featured on television, the web, print media and radio programs including Forbes.com, ABC News Now, Queer Eye For The Straight Guy, MTV News, Fox News, NY Post, CBS2 News, WB11, Women’s Health, Daily Candy, Gotham, NY 1, Daily News, AM New York, Genre, Shecky’s, Shape (Germany), Metro Sports New York, Fitness, Zink, The Career Clinic radio show, boxinginsider.com, CBS Inside Fitness radio and TV, and others.

In between his business obligations, Steve has found the time to study Eskrima, Butterfly Hands Kung Fu, Yang-style Michuan Tai Chi Chuan, Capoeira, and boxing.
